Enjoy a relaxed and comfortable stay at Mereside Farm whether on holiday, visiting friends and family, or on business.
Ideally located, Mereside Farm is only half a mile from the small market town of Ellesmere where you will find a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
The accommodation is separate, but adjacent to, the eighteenth century farmhouse. All the apartments or rooms are self-contained and you are free to come and go as you wish.
Breakfast - if required - is served in the stunning Garden Room in the farmhouse.
The farmland is surrounded by The Mere (Lake) and the Llangollen and Shropshire Union Canal - towpath on our side! The beautiful hilltop views overlook the Marina and the Welsh hills beyond. You can take country walks from the doorstep making it possible to enjoy, first hand, the surrounding area of woods, fields, meres and canals and the variety of bird and wildlife.
Explore the area by foot or boat, bicycle, car or bus - they pass the farm gate. Mereside Farm is perfectly situated for visiting numberous castles, gardens, towns and attractions. See our Locale and Links page for more information.
Walkers, cyclists, families and dogs are all provided for; including lock-up for cycles, laundry and drying facilities, high chairs and cots.
There are maps, leaflets and books on the local area on hand; and the Tourist Information Centre and Boathouse Restaurant is a short walk away.
There is free internet access and space to work.
All the accommodation is available on a bed and breakfast or room-only basis.
The tariff is on a sliding scale, so the cost per night is less the longer you stay.
